Macmillan Cancer Support funded this exercise to 'scope' the information and support needs of people affected by cancer.

An independent consultant, Dr David Manning, carried out the collection of data involving discussions with people from cancer organisations in both the statutory and voluntary sector. These same organisations also distributed a survey to patients and carers to find out their needs.
