What is the difference between low grade and high grade lymphoma?

The lymphoma is called high grade, or aggressive, if the cells seem to be dividing quickly.

It is called low grade, or indolent, if the cells seem to be dividing slowly. If you have low grade lymphoma there may be long periods when the cancer causes very little trouble, and you may not need active treatment.

Your doctor can tell you more about the type of lymphoma you have.
