What are the symptoms of lung cancer?
a new cough or a change in a cough (for example, you cough up more phlegm than usual)
- coughing up blood
- chest pain
- a hoarse voice
- a high-pitched sound (called stridor) when you breathe in.
Patients may also have more general symptoms, for example:
- unexplained weight loss
- fever
- loss of appetite
- tiredness.
If the cancer
has spread, it may appear in the skin as a small lump.
It may cause bone pain if it has spread to the bones. If it has reached the brain it may cause symptoms such as headaches, blurred vision or unsteadiness when walking.
