What is the difference between Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma?

If you have Hodgkin lymphoma, doctors will be able to see a particular type of cell (the Reed-Sternberg cell) when they look at your cancer under a microscope.

The Reed-Sternberg cell is not present in any of the non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas. Any lymphoma that is not Hodgkin lymphoma is called a non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
