How quickly will I feel better after treatment for testicular cancer?

If you have surgery or radiotherapy you will probably get back to normal within a few weeks.

If you have chemotherapy it will take longer for you to feel better. You may need to go for quite a lot of treatment sessions over several months. It may take up to a year before you feel your usual self again.

After your treatment has finished you will need to have regular follow-up checks (blood tests and CT scans) for up to 10 years. It is also a good idea to check your remaining testicle regularly, as there is a small chance you might get cancer there, too.
