Movement based workshop for cancer patients with Dancers from Lombardi Cancer Centre, Washington D.C
Two contemporary dancers Anne and Daniel, Dancers-in-Residence at Lombardi Cancer
Centre Washington D.C. (where Nevin Bossart works) are visiting the Cancer Centre, Belfast City Hospital on Thursday 7th October 2010 as part of their one-week residency at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust.
The dancers will offer staff and patients an opportunity to participate in movement-based workshops.
These experienced dancers will be accompanied on their visit by Jenny Elliott, Belfast Trust's dancer-in-residence based at Knockbracken site and Andrea Spencer, Arts Care artist-in-residence at Belfast City Hospital.
The workshops will offer the participants an opportunity to explore gentle movement as a form of relaxation and creative expression.
Staff at the Cancer Centre will have the opportunity to experience the unique stretch and relax five minute sessions which have become an integral part of the staff's experience of dance at Lombardi Cancer Centre.
Workshop for staff: drop in any time between 9am and 11.45 am Thursday October 7th 2010 in Seminar Room 3, Cancer Centre.
