This half day event is aimed at staff and managers with responsibility for providing information to people affected by cancer. Participants will explore the delivery of Patient Information in line with the Framework for Cancer Prevention, Treatment and Care.
 
This conference looks at developments in cancer patient information and will help you to:

A new Zest for Life programme has been launched by the Ulster Cancer Foundation (UCF) for cancer patients in Newtownards and the surrounding area. Zest for Life is a six week personal development programme designed for any person who has been diagnosed with cancer – recently or in the past.

Starting on Tuesday 18th May, the programme will take place every Tuesday at the Day Centre, 1st Floor, Newtownards Hospital from 10.00am - 12.30pm for 6 consecutive weeks.

 On the 22nd of September the Chief Medical Officer issued a circular regarding the prevention, early detection, treatment and care of patients with Metastatic Spinal Cord Compression. The implementation of these guidelines has implications reaching across all services including primary care, diagnostic, acute and emergency services, as well as for rehabilitation services and spinal surgery.

With little sleep you will be expected to keep walking no matter what the weather conditions – hot or cold! There will be stops along the way to refuel on snacks and drinks and on Saturday evening you will be able to rest your head in Bed and Breakfast accommodation before your start your ascent of Snowdon!

This event is organised by Outdoor Concepts who have an in depth knowledge of organising innovative events, here in Northern Ireland, in Great Britain and overseas!
