This years RCN Palliative Care Forum Master Class is focusing on the challenge of Managing Gynae Cancers. It once again promises to be another interesting and informative evening and is always well attended. Places are limited so early booking is recommended.

Date: Weekly starting on Wednesday 12th May 2001 and continuing until Wednesday 9th June
Time: 6.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m.
The sessions are open to anyone affected by cancer and it is hoped they will make it easier for those affected and their families to re-adjust to life with cancer, and importantly, after cancer.
The venue for this event is Knockbracken Hall in Knockbracken Healthcare Park, Saintfield Road, Belfast. Meeting papers will follow in due course.
A new Zest for Life programme has been launched by the Ulster Cancer Foundation (UCF) for cancer patients in Newtownards and the surrounding area. Zest for Life is a six week personal development programme designed for any person who has been diagnosed with cancer – recently or in the past.
Starting on Tuesday 18th May, the programme will take place every Tuesday at the Day Centre, 1st Floor, Newtownards Hospital from 10.00am - 12.30pm for 6 consecutive weeks.
On the 22nd of September the Chief Medical Officer issued a circular regarding the prevention, early detection, treatment and care of patients with Metastatic Spinal Cord Compression. The implementation of these guidelines has implications reaching across all services including primary care, diagnostic, acute and emergency services, as well as for rehabilitation services and spinal surgery.
The first in a series of six courses will take place every Wednesday starting on 14th April 2010 from Friday 12.30 to 2.00

With little sleep you will be expected to keep walking no matter what the weather conditions – hot or cold! There will be stops along the way to refuel on snacks and drinks and on Saturday evening you will be able to rest your head in Bed and Breakfast accommodation before your start your ascent of Snowdon!
Join us for a challenging experience as you climb 4 of the highest peaks in the UK – Slieve Donard, Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.

On completion of Day One you will be wild camping on the shores of the Bann before setting off on the morning of Day Two for the final leg of your expedtion.
This event is organised by Outdoor Concepts who have an in depth knowledge of organising innovative events, here in Northern Ireland, in Great Britain and overseas!
