CPES - Cancer Patient Experience Survey, new survey planned for 2018

The Cancer Patient Experience Survey was issued for the first time in Northern Ireland in 2015. The survey was sent to 5,388 patients who were having treatment for their cancer in hospitals over a defined six month period. The purpose of the survey is to get the views of patients on the care they received and how they can be improved.

The survey is being carried out by researchers from Quality health for the Public Health Agency (PHA) and Macmillan Cancer Support. Public reports will be produced that will include the anonymous survey findings and these will be benchmarked against similar surveys carried out in England and Wales.
